    Are they no longer available?

    92-97 springs work, correct?

      aftermarket, MOOG. The newer springs work. There was a comparison on C V N that had all the differences between the differnt years.

          I just found out 93-97 PI springs are still available from Ford. I'll get them when the time comes.

            What about front springs?? Where and which ones are best to get? I used to have the PI versions but one went limp so I went to stock.

              for front springs get PI springs and cut a coil off, it will sit a little bit lower but will have a higher rate

                Which year PI springs? And how much lower, 1", 2" or 3"?

                    that part number you typed is a 1979 part # they must be the same

                    1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt

                        I also have the rear heavey duty wagon spring. Where do you get the front PI Springs from b/c I need some.

                            Yeah, I know. On 2vmodular's site, he has another '79 P/N describing box body and 1st gen aero body rear springs that are now obsolete. The "new" number for '93-97 police cars was that '79 number I gave. I am sure they just changed the catch code and the springs are virtually the same, like you said.
