IDK that was John who called you but i believe he did say you said that... I will test it...i put in 2X the amount of new gas in and some drygas and gas stabilizer but it made no difference what-so-ever and it has just been getting worse....

But I'll empty some into a container tomorrow and check.

Okay, fuel sample take from the fuel line was good....however John and I removed the carb...turned it upside down...the fuel in it appeared to have some water in it...and the last bit of gas that poured out was a dirty brownish maroon rust color... I'm considering getting the carb mounting gaskets and putting fresh gas in the carb and trying it...

            What do you guys think?

My other option is to get the rebuild kit for $53.... I'd rather try the first route out though

nothing to lose from popping her back on and trying it. You might be advised to buy the rebuild kit too while you can though, even if you don't play on doing it right now.

Try it. I've fixed my boat before by dumping the carb out. Its not neccesarily an approved fix but you don't really have anything to lose.

                    prep work is key.

if you didn't tear the gasket, its probably reusable.

That's what we were gonna do, but pieces of the gasket are missing so...
