are you asking about aftermarket valve covers?
need 1/2" intake spacer to run the tall aftermarket valve covers.......some of the tall aluminum valve covers require a 1" intake spacer.

aftermarket and OEM I guess - I saw a set of billeted covers for a mustang and thought they'd look nice. They could have been Ford racing I think, but all that was on 'em was the blue ovalsigpic

302 valve covers are 302 valve covers really. They all bolt up. Some are taller than others, but thats about the worst of it. You can run carb or EFI style covers without problems. Mustang guys need EFI covers or its a pain in the ass for them to add oil.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

you can use the 86-93 high output cast alum valve covers on a box, but you have to break the wings off the 710 cap

Dont have to break off the wings. If you pull up on the outside it will pop off of the inner part then you have room to unscrew the inner part. then when your done screw the innner peice back on an snap the top cover back on.

i'm getting a set of the ford racing EFI series valve covers this summer (stock hieght) and a spacer type gasket to give my roller rockers some room. If I need to I will pop in a 1/4" upper intake spacer. Just what i'm doin, but check out those valve covers, they look pretty good.Finally have an on the books porting/custom fab business!
