    exhaust plans

ok right now I have a single exhaust with a flowmaster 40. I have another 40 and some HO headers comming. I want to do a dual exhaust with a mustang h-pipe hooked up to the mustang headers and then having my meineke guy fabricate the rest-- are there any issues to doing this?

yes, meinike has a tendency to rape customers wallets. i'd try a local person that specializes in exhuast. as a usual rule, they treat your vehicle as it was their own, not a rental. and you'd be supporting your local economy rather than supporting a corporate chain

install the headers and the h-pipe yourself.........that will save you a shitload in labor..........i worked at a meineke shop for a couple years........we did not like to change manifolds/headers......too much time and trouble for a production based shop.

take the car to an exhaust shop after you have the headers/h installed........should not cost you much, since you have the muffler, they just need to install a ds tailpipe and two connector pipes........if they want more than $200 for the job, walk away

yeah they wanted 475 for a h pipe, and muffler back pipe, and a muffler. I cant bring them my own muffler anymore!!!! I used to be able to but now they have some new jackass working there. I'll have to find another shop.

You're going to need to have holes drilled in that H pipe for the oxygen sensors. The wiring for the sensors might also need to be made longer. Not hard, you can do it with some butt connectors and wire or you can buy the longer O2 sensors. You might want to think about new O2 anyway. If the ones in your car are original there is a fair chance they aren't coming out of the manifolds. Probably they aren't in the best of shape anyway.
