    code 29

does the d9s not have a pinout for vss? it's the only code that comes up after my HO swap in an 87 crown vic. everything seems to be functional though including cruise and tripminder.

I was looking at this and it shows no vss at all for the lincoln mark vii. just trying to figure out if I have a flaky sensor or if everyone would get this code http://fordfuelinjection.com/5.0Lpinouts.html

87 and older cars do not have wiring to the ECM connector for VSS input. If you want to make that code go away, you have to add the pins. The D9S does expect vss input. Its used for cruise control and EGR control, though since you have stand alone cruise, that part doesn't matter much. If you have a slight hesitation just off idle, thats the EGR snapping full open because it has no VSS input to tell it otherwise.
