    Loss of power question

hey fellas, I had this happen to me today:
I was driving around the Freeways an I took an on-ramp from one freeway to another, the sign said 35mph I was doing 40 to 45, when I came out of the turn I wanted to accelerate but I felt nothing (the car was leaning toward the driver side), When she leveled out I then felt her accelerate.

Would you fellas happen to know what may of happened or have caused this?

Things done to her before this happened:
Tires were properly inflated before the drive
Shocks an rear springs are medioker
fuel filter was replaced 9 months ago
Fuel pump replaced 5 months ago
plugs/wires/spark plugs replace 9 months ago
No check engine light or codes came up

I'd guess low gas or maybe low tranny fluid. low enough to slosh away from the pickup in a tight corner.

Low trans fluid, or maybe if the tank was damn near empty it was sucking air instead of fuel. Definitely check the trans fluid, if its low enough to do that, its low enough to cause major problems. Engine running, warmed up, and in park is how to read the stick.

        Hey fellas,
I checked the tranny fluid an it looked good an the level appears to be at a normal level, an my gas meter said it was half. the meter is correct since I put 8 gallons of gas in her...

        any other thoughts?

I had my trans slip into neutral the other day when I went across an intersection and almost got some air. The slip occurred from the highest point in the arc until the car hit the lowest point in suspension travel (didn't bottom out btw). I figured the fluid in the torque converter just got loose or something and made it slip.

            Was the cruise-control engaged?

              Cruise-control was not engaged...

an when I hit the throttle I didnt hear the rpms rev up as if it was in neutral, strange...
I felt as though she lost the power to move an when she leveled out from the turn I felt her moving foward.

It could be what Slymer stated that the tranny slipped

would you fellas happen to know if there is a sensor that detects if the car is leaning to much to one side or the other to make the car possibly go into limp mode untill she's leveled out?

I ask this question because I enjoy taking turns pretty fast, not ridiculusly fast but fast enough to enjoy the turn. If i am breaking components of the car an she's telling me to cut it out by reducing the power I would like to confirm that with you fellas =)
