How much to port and polish gt40 heads??

      well I was looking at gt40 heads for 250 but than found a guy selling these
      winsor sr heads, oversized valves, dual spring valve springs, comp cam hardened pushrods, crane cams roller rockers, arp head bolts - 300
      for 300 would these be a better option.

        300 is a steal for windsor sr's.......are they worn out for that price?

        1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt
        2006 Lincoln Town Car Signature. Stock for now
        1989 Ford F-250 4x4 much much more to come, sefi converted so far.
        1986 Toyota pickup with LSC wheels and 225/60/16 tires.
        2008 Hyundai Elantra future Revcon toad
        1987 TriBurner and 1986 Alaska stokers keeping me warm. (and some pesky oil heat)

          guy sent me two pics. What ya think he had them running on 306 with a custom cut cam. I am just worried that I might have a valve clearance issue. I plan on running a stock ho cam so I dont have to get anything tune. and Gt40 intakes with 65mm tb and lighting spacer. What ya folks think if I go thru with it.

                PTV clearance should be fine with ho cam but always measure

                    well i was hoping not having to get a tuner to do it... I was also just thinking of mass air conversion... Idk... I ll get heads and move on to that part later lol

                        i have an adjustable fpr on my towny..........have the timing set to 16 btdc.....no pinging on 87.......pings on 87 at 18 deg

                          I was already planning on bumping up the timing same with fuel pressure reg. I just didnt want to have to get a tweecer and spend shits load on a tune at least not yet lol

                            I got them last night look like there is no problems at all with them here is a pic of the valves all they need to do is be cleaned up. So i wont be putting them on for a month or so. So i was wondering how I should store them and whats the best way to clean them up. Get all the carbon off and than I might paint them too.
