Cfi to carb, evolves to HO to carb

Okay i know i have been planning a cfi to 4bbl swap on my 84. It is now going to be a HO to carb conversion. I'm going to buy a 5.0 HO from a friend that was in an '89 mustang. It's not the orginal engine but a ford crate motor. When it was in the mustang it was running a traction limited 13.7 in the 1/4. Some of the specs i do know are: gt40p heads, e303 cam, and of course forged pistons. Looking at an edelbrock intake and 600cfm carb. Also going to add a 4bbl nitrous plate with a 100hp shot. This will hopefully get me to the goal of a true Sleeper. On the motor i'm hoping for decent 14's in the 1/4, on the nitrous it will probably be a real monster. But this will mostly be a weekend cruiser, but with the ability to kick some ass when needed. Will keep yall update as things progress.

Grab a Weiand Stealth or an Edelbrock RPM air gap, if you can afford one.

That looks like it would be way to tall. I have a perf. rpm and it barely fits under the hood. with a drop base air cleaner.

Summit sells a edelbrock carb, intake, seals, gaskets, and summit air cleaner combo for less than $500.
