Swapping upper intakes, tb, and egr spacer takes all of 10 minutes. (Well at least if you've done it as many unfortunate times as I have).

I do not have a spare EGR spacer so that will likely take the most time (getting it somewhere to have it bored out then back to the car)

What's the word on a stock airbox with a H.O intake? I wouldn't think it would need something bigger than stock to breathe but I know not of these things.

As I understand it, a cai won't do much other than look better under the hood and Mabel sound different (is that so?)

The stock airbox, besides being ugly and in the way, works perfectly fine. I bet it could support an explorer engine.

Yeah It has been said to be fine for HO's but it is just in the way of everything.

Where is the ho casting supposed to be? And can someone give me an example correct date code from underneath?

When you take off the 5.0 HO plate on top you will see H.O. in the casting.
If you don't......It's not an HO.

Its been painted and sanded poorly it's impossible to tell...but the tb is backwards and I measured it at 60mm

right underneath the 5.0 plaque it will say HO

there is a part nimber somewhere, I forget, but you want the E7

if I go over to my dad's next week, I still have 2 or 3 in the back shed, I'll dig one out and look. shame of it is I had a pile of these things at one time, and most of them got scrapped(my own fault, I abandoned them at my fathers and when he asked I told him they wernt worth anything)

I know I still have one that has ALOT of porting, the upper was cut open and epoxied back together, I've hung onto it because I might sell my gt40 and go back to it someday
