    5 speed swap

    Found a 5 speed for 175$. i think im gonna buy it. What else would i need? Slave cylinder, clutch, clutch pedal, flywheel....anything else??

    driveshaft might need to be made, speedo gear, shifter,

        They are the same length.

        If you are putting this behind a 351 tho, you will need to get a special flywheel...

        Ill have to find you some info..

          I did say might, but mostly thats because i wasn't sure if the spline count on the output shafts were the same. Also wasn't sure they were the same size.

            What kind of 5spd did you find for $175? What was it out of?

              how are you going to be driving the car? i've heard that the t5 doesent hold up to the heavier cars well when run hard............this came from the owner of the local speed shop, all he owns is fords......he said the tremec would be better suited for the car

              1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt

                  Make sure its a world class t5, the other kind is alot weaker.

                  2009 Ford F-350 6.4 powerstroke diesel. 1977 Ford F-150 built 300 six, 5 speed trans. 1976 MG MGB roadster, 359w, t5 5 speed. 1996 Kawasaki ninja ZX6R.
