    no start procedures

ok im starting this new thread but it still relates to mystart stall thread. back in the day when i was a drivability tech at a shop we had manuals that had trouble shooting procedures like does engine crank? if yes go to step # if no go to step # and so on and so on. these were real good manuals they would eventually take you to probing the pcm terminals for values. my question is can i find something this good any where ive checked every where and cant even find a pdf doc let alone a manual. if i remember correctly these manuals were from mitchell.

what you are looking for is a "flow chart"

    basics always apply-
    do you have spark?
    do you have fuel psi?
    do you have injector pulse?
    is the fuel good?
    do you have compression?
    do you have air?

what he said. Fuel, fire, compression, air. See which you do not have, and start at that point. It would be hard to make a step by step troubleshooting manual because they changed the engine systems in a fairly major way at least 4 times, and there are minor differences from model to model due to various options that make it hard to just crank out one "this is how you fix it" guide.

The closest Ford manual would be the "H" manual, "Engine/Emmisions Diagnostics Manual".

dude i know what im talking about here because i used to use these manuals and they were bad assed. this wasnt just one book it was about 30 books and they had detailed procedures for specific vehicles. but gadget i know your knowlege is immense on these matters so if you could guide me maybe we can figure this out. i know you asked me what the fuel pressure is it is 40 psi. ive checked the fusable links that i know of but maybe i missed one could you tell me of all the relivant ones. maybe ive purchased a bad part somewhere down the line? dude im at a loss but if i knew what wires to probe maybe ill figger this out and we will be a lot smarter. p.s. gmguy im going to check out that manual.

so it starts, and then stalls? Thats a totally different thing than a no start condition, and needs different troubleshooting steps. Need more info mang, exactly what does it do, and what have you tested or replaced so far? I could rattle off a lot of things that could possibly cause this, but without knowing the exact symptoms its very likely most of them would be wrong.

gadget if u look at my other thread that i posted above it has all the info youre askin for. also i do realise that this isnt a no start situation i was just giving the easiest generic name for the what im lookin for i would pay for this manual or a similar one if i could find one. but i am coming to realise that this kind of extensive info on this car may no longer exist. gadget just look at my thread in the above post and you will see why i dont want to list all that stuff again.
