Porting a stock 302 Lower Intake?

Will this help with anything, ie, is it going to gain me anything in conjunction with an HO upper and throttle body etc, etc. My build has been put on hold do to cash reserves running low, but after I take care of college I will have extra money to do unnecessary stuff, like this. Just wondering if it was worth it at all. or even if it could be done.

I wouldnt waste the time/money unless I ported it myself, just get an exploder

if your stuck on using stock mustang stuff and cant do it yourself, get with tmoss, he ports them for like $125+core

I see, I have the HO upper is all, Does anyone know what the explorer upper/lower will add vs the HO mustang? Just wondering.

probably 10hp over HO stock vs stock, porting adds 10hp to either intake

I see, so ported explorer intake= +20hp. Ill think about it, that is quite the hp gain over what I have in line for her now. Every bit counts.

its the whole package though, cam and headers should compliment it

I would look into a good stall, like 3k and some gears, that will wake your car up quite a bit

I have an 86 HO cam, GT40p heads (im thinking about porting), trac loc, and some 3.23 gears. Im also looking at 1.7 roller rockers, new springs, underdrive pulley, and need some 19lb injectors. I was just wondering how to squeeze a bit more out.

                          you mean 3.27.
a 3.55 or 3.73 would be alot better
put an add on your local CL, mustang guys have 19's layin around and practically give them away

Buy Scott's Holley Systemax I lower, I'm sure he'll be willing to make you a deal on it.

I will think about it. I can get a set of flow matched refurbished 19# injectors for $100.00 on ebay, so ill know they are in working order. I got the 3.27s for free, maybe I can trade for 3.55s, but I don't want to lose too much gas mileage is all. Maybe I can trade these or sell them and get enough to buy 3.55s, but Im in no hurry. Thanks all for the help. I really don't have enough money to buy scotts lower at the moment though.
