    headers for lopo

Can anyone recommend some performance headers that will go on a stock lopo with little or no massaging? Shorty or long tubes.:3gears:

Any header you end up using will require the proper ball and cup type h pipe to seal your exhaust properly. Long tube will not work because too much shit is in the way. Custom long tubes is another story that has not been ventured into much, so proceed with caution. I haven't heard anyone really having any trouble whatsoever installing headers onto proper H pipes.

most 5.0 fox mustang headers work. Exhaust flanges need work if you're running basically stock exhaust, but thats about it. The boring stock Mustang ones are a good choice on a stock engine, and they're about the best quality you'll find for as cheap as they are.

Or you can get a set of ceramic coated BBK headers, only to later decide that you want to install a different engine that requires different headers.

Hedman shorties, that's what I'm running. Order from Summit, they come with collectors.

I have a set of those. Accessing half the bolts is a pain in the ass, and they were warped enough that I finally had to drop them off at the machine shop to be milled flat. I got tired of blowing header gaskets all the time. They're also rusty now thanks to the factory crappy paint.

I'm kind of fond of BBK or Ford Racing headers in the aftermarket world. Both have good bolt access and seem to be of good quality. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.
