Just called the guy, he removed the intake because he wanted a cobra performance intake on his mustang, He says he has a lot of the stuff I need ie, injectors, throttle body, throttle body spacer, and headers. Im not sure how much its going to end up costing me or if im going to buy everything but he seamed to be very knowledgeable, Also advised me to switch my firing order to that of a 351? I had never heard of this before. Anyways its an hour and a half drive so looks like im heading up sunday. Says hes got two mustangs, and has owned ten, so im just hoping hes not a rapist (fingers crossed).

Don't change from lopo firing order unless you change to HO or Explorer Cam and change the engine computer to mustang or Mark VII.

no, don't change the firing order.

You only need the upper and the throttle body. Not much in particular to look out for. If it doesn't look busted, its probably fine. Its just a chunk of aluminum so as long as its not cracked, its good.

Also surprised there aren't any more local Mustang folks. Most of the ones who have modded their cars have swapped intakes, and often have the stocker laying about.

make sure that the upper has HO cast into it...........86 HO's and some 87 HO's use the same upper as the lopo and a 55 mm throttle body.......you want a 60mm throttle body

Yeah you only really need the upper intake and the throttle body, as previousy stated. If you wanted, you could get the lower intake and have it ported to match the upper for optimum flow out of stock HO parts.
