Hey im looking at getting a set of headers for my 91, My questions are will i have to fab the exhaust to meet the headers as they meet manifolds now. Also will a 5.0 HO header fit onto a LOPO? Im pretty sure they do but just want to check. Also what has to come off the engine to gain enough access to do the job? I know the air intake will need to be popped of, but will the actual intake and any other stuff need to come off. Also what is a good brand of headers, and should i go full length or with shorties. Any help much appreciated as always. I would like to thank everyone a bunch as you always seem to help me out with what I assume to you are simple questions.

Honestly, if you don't have decent dual exhaust currently, headers are a waste of time and money. You're not gonna get a lot out of it. Dual exhaust and good mufflers will do more for you, and unless you have them, the headers aren't going to add any flow capability to the exhaust. The choke point is further back.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

The car has dual exhaust on it now. The guy I bought it from had it put on from the cats back. I mainly was looking at doing it because it would sound a bit better, and I just need some small projects to keep me busy this summer. Im lost when I have no school, because im accustom to 30 hr work weeks on top of high school. So when you give me free time i get anxious. Anyway thank you for all your help, It has made a lot of sense and is very helpful."Shakedown"- 1991 Grand Marquis GS Dual exhaust, Magnaflow xl turbos, Rear anti sway bar, Outlaw 1 wheels, 43k miles
