Ok, I know some of you have performed this swap. My question involves fuel delivery. I am considering a carb swap to a 4bbl in the future. I have the in tank fuel pump. How did you setup for low pressure delivery? Do you have to remove the high pressure fuel pump? Install a new pickup for a low pressure fuel pump? What works and part numbers or brands?

I drilled out the hole for the pump. As far as the cam I put in a completely diffrent motor so I'm not sure.1984 CV tudor 351W, 4bbl, 5-speed best time in the 1/8 8.39 at 80 with 1.80 60ft time.

driver's side is the supply tho if I'm not mistaken. Passenger side line just dumps right into the top of the tank. Usually the one thats not used is just left unhooked or capped off. Nothing special involved.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

If you plan on keeping this car, and eventually modding it (bigger motor), I might consider pulling the fuel sending unit out of the tank, cutting the stock supply line out of the sending unit, and tacking in a 3/8th's hard line, being careful to bend the pickup end to match the original.
From that point, I'd run 3/8th's hard line up to a filter, and then an electric pump, and then to a line going to the carb, with a fuel pressure regulator on the other end, with a return line hooked back up to the original return line going back into the tank. I believe there are one or two guys that have done this here, but I can't recall who....
This is overkill for the existing engine, but if future plans call for something requiring more fuel, this just might work.
And of course, this is just a opinion, and should not be construed as the opinion of GMN management, or any of its subsidiary holding companies.

On a cfi car the pass side is the feed.1984 CV tudor 351W, 4bbl, 5-speed best time in the 1/8 8.39 at 80 with 1.80 60ft time.

Found a fuel pressure regulator from Holley with a bypass and will delivery in the 4-9 psi range, but is set at 7psi factory. It should work, but isnt cheap.

prob be easier and cheaper to just put a mechanical or an electric of the proper type and ditch the in-tank pump completely. Dropping the tank isn't that hard.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
