Very nice. Looks like new now. Do you happen to know what was used to clean the inside ? It looks like whatever it was is effective.

He sprays it down inside with oven cleaner, then lets is soak for a few minutes, inside the powder coating oven, which causes it to bubble up like taking paint off with paint stripper... then bead blasts it... thru the Throttle body side, and from the intake side... until the material coming out the other end is clean... Then runs a long brush (like a big bottle brush) thru each runner to make sure it is clean... The brush has a flexable shaft on it, and the brush itself is round, about 6 iches long... I don't know where he got it.

Last weekend, I got the lower intake manifold in the powder coating shop... After I got the upper done, I decided it wouldn't look good sitting on the old manifold, that was turning white from oxidation (Love that Gulf Of Mexico Gulf air!) So I bought another manifold from Scott, and took it to my powder coating guy. He is bead blasting it, then going to clear powder coat it, so it will look factory. He is also doing the same to my 84's four barrel intake (302 Mustang manifold) When I get it back this week, I'm going to try to get it installed on the car... Along with changing out EVERY vacum hose on the car while we have it off this time... We only changed out the ones that looked like it needed it when we swapped the engine... due to time... This time we will change out the rest. Then I'm going to completely re-loom the wiring harnesses. I found some of the NOS friction tape that Ford used on the ends of the plastic loom stuff... so it will look correct. Pictures will follow, when we get the intake swapped...
