Interesting about the heads. One of the big custom Ford cam grinders (forget if its Jay Allen or Buddy Rawls) swears by AFR heads and says its very hard to beat the power they make for the dollars they cost. I don't pretend to know, all my motors have stock castings that suck for various reasons. The "hottest" motor I've ever put together had P heads and a stock cam, and thats still pretty much kids stuff when you're talking real performance. The next one I do will probably be more of the same, P heads and a HO cam on a quarter million mile shortblock.
