Thunderbird ECU work for HO Upgrade??

    Yo fellas,

I snagged a '94 HO ECU from a thunderBird with 'Mass Airflow' Sensor' on a count that mine ('90 Lopo Vic) has a Stock 'Mass AirFlow Sensor' aswell.

My question is did I snag the right kind of ECU or do I specificlly need one from either a mustang or mark Vii ??

another quick question, the thunderbird ECU says 'reman', meaning remanufactured, think its a good idea to keep it or look for one that is OEM?

The 5.0 tbird ones also won't work easily unless you do a fair bit of re-wiring to the harness. A lot of the pins are different vs what the stock harness uses.

Ditto to what everyone else has said....it won't work, especially if it's a 1994 unit. I have a 1992 5.0 HO Thunderbird, and the ECM is different from everything else out there. So different, that I'm probably going to shitcan the stock ECM as a result, and lose the EFI. The only other option for my keeping stock-based EFI is to snag an ECM out of a 1994-1995 Mustang GT, and switch a few pins around....the Mustang unit even works better than the T-bird unit out of the box.

            Thanx for the help fellas...
I have all the HO parts ready to be installed, but this ECU mishap will off set my plans about a week or two make it three cause of christmas week. Those mexicans are a crafty bunch, they go straight for the good stuff when a handfull of mustangs an mark Vii are dropped off at the junk yards...

Nobody steals Mark VII computers. they're speed-density, and not very desirable as a result. Mustang mass air ECMs go for money though.
