I think I remember reading that they won't work for certain truck engines or something (as in, wrong lengths), but I doubt if you'd have any problems at all.

MSD Street Fire wires are rated at 500 ohms/ft and I've never had any problems with them on my '86 GM. They cost me under $40 on Summit. MSD also has a higher end set rated at 50 ohms/ft for $90-$100. Ford Racing wires have 1,000 ohms/ft. This is what I've found from the Summit catalog and on the box of my MSD wires. Another set of wires I will always stand by will be the Borg Warner Premiums, about $40 at the local parts store.

At the current levels involved in an ignition system, the resistance of the wire doesn't have any huge effect on the amount of voltage available at the spark plug. The resistance is mostly there to kill radio interference so you don't hear all the snaps and pops. I imagine lots of stray RF will screw with the computer too. I know my digital voltmeter goes all crazy around RF circuits, and for the most part, the various inputs on the computer just read voltage.
