It wouldn't hurt to ask the seller questions before making a payment.

For that price its most likely Chinese garbage that may or may not work. And if it does work ain't going to last real long.

I suspected the same based on the price but I don't know but jack and shit about car parts so I wanted to get some opinions. I intended to buy the part(s) at rockauto anyway, but the low price was tempting. thanks.

Brand new parts for about the price it would cost at a junkyard? I'd pass.

No decent yards around here. The only box Panther in a local jy that I know of is the blue Merc that I gave them a few weeks ago.

If you have a 90-91, a fox mustang fuel pump is a direct replacement. You can usually pick up a walbro for around $100 FWIW

The Fox pump is an upgrade too, and not very expensive. The Summit house brand pumps are made by Walbro for a few bucks cheaper than a Walbro branded pump will cost you.

Yeah, it's prolly chinese, but by the time you figure shipping, RockAuto is about the same price, and they stand by what they sell.

A friendly mechanic that I trust told me that airtex are shit. The consensus around here is that you get what you pay for with the Motorcraft parts--you'll never have to touch it again. Cough up for Motorcraft or Napa, maybe.

Remember, wagons have separate fuel pumps and gauge senders, sedans have them combined. Make sure you get one that says "sedan" and not "wagon." I didn't pay attention and got the wrong one.

Scott said airtex aren't too bad but since I started this thread I've had nothing but great results with Motorcraft parts so I'm likely going to go for one of those when I buy a new pump.

EDIT: Actually, fuck that. I'm not paying over 200 dollars for a fuel pump. I could hire a midget to syphon gas from the tank to the engine for half of that.
