Hopefully, I will be picking up my Shorty headers, Mustang "H" pipe, and the double hump cross member tommorow.. for my "Baby" LTD.... and it is going in Wed. to get an estimate on the brakes.... (If it is too much, I'll do it myself, I just don't have the time right now to do it... working 12-14 hours a day due to the hurricane.) Tonight I am ordering the carpets for it... the only thing needed to complete the interior...
Then on to the install on the headers, pipes, and mufflers...
Side note.... checked the freon today on the '91... a little low... topped it off.. blowing 30 degrees out of the vents again!!! WOO HOO!!!! It has a REAL small leak... leaks just enough to quit cooling good about every three months or so... It is so samll that the detectors won't register a leak anywhere.... Tom...
Agent Caitlin Todd… You know Tony, Statistics show that married men live longer…
Agent Tony DiNozzo… It only seems longer….
glad to see you made it home ok pete! it was nice meeting you! hopefully you will become a member of the exclusive "midnite auto" lol pete is a junkyard warrior guys! he chews on broken glass when he is pulling parts hehe.........now get that exhaust system done........figure out how to use that bender, and bend up those tailpipes...........make a set of off road pipes for the towncar headers, and keep the stock cats neatly stored away in case the smog nazis get suspicious hehe.
tom.....you will like the duals on the baby ltd. that is a carbed car? correct? if it's cfi, you will need to deal with the fuel filter on the passenger side where that muffler will go. you are a lucky man to have a 302 powered ltd......there were only a few thousand produced. on a side note, back in 78, you could get a fairmont with a 351w........they were cool hehe

I would have done the shotries and stang H pipe thing, but the shorties are a litt more $$ to come by, and since Scott gave me a deal on the H pipe I decided to go with a stock panther setup.
plus that way, of those smog nazis to ever become an issue, some cats will bolt right back up.
The plan for that is to hack the cats off and my boss agreed to weld me pipes in thier places "for testing purposes" ehehe.
Then the H, and I dont think Im going to use the flowmasters... they are old, plus, I dont think I want it loud. We stock "turbo tuned" mufflers at the shop, and they are supposed to be on the quiet side so I may use those. I think Im going to buy the tails too... cuz I cant take up time when Im supposed to be workin to learn to use the bender, and all the guys at the shop have families to go home to and they dont wanna spend hours bending me pipe and trying to fit it. Oh well. plus I cant be at the shop by myself - Im not that priveleged plus our cost on the pipes is only like 15-20 bucks, and I think i can by premade 2 1/4 pipe... hhmmmm
I am aiming for this saturday to do it. we close an noon saturdays and my boss said I could have a saturday off to do this so i gotta work quick .... ohohoohohh Im excited
