    play in rear axles

Is play in the rear axles normal? By play, I mean that if you jack the rear end up you can grab the tire and push/pull the axle and it will move in and out. If it is normal, how much motion is too much? If I push the car side to side hard enough I can hear the axles knock.

Mine do that too. If you're concerned about funny "rear steering" suspension feel, it might be the rear control arm bushings.
