    wiring harness questions

Ok so i'm gonna start working on a wire tuck on the marquis since it is no longer my daily, for those of you that don't know a wire tuck is hiding all the wires and making the engine appear as though is doesnt run or is not hooked to anything.
I will post examples in few

Anyway my question is: Is the engine harness its own seperate harness straight to the ecu, and then there is another harness for headlights and such?
Or is it all intergrated into one harness?

yes, the light and ECM harnesses are seperate. Light harness runs from the firewall to a plug near the washer bottle, then across the header panel. Theres another harness that runs from the driver's side over to the starter relay to feed power to the fuse box, and I think its also got wire breakouts for the blower motor, blower resistor and ATC thing (if equipped)

Well I'm gonna redo the engine harness and have it going through the firewall at the top of the tranny tunnel, and relocat the ecu somewere close to there behind the dash. On the headlight harness I plan to run them inside the fenders, and the starter silinoid and anything else like that will be relocated to the front side of the header panel. That's the plan as of right now but I'm sure I will have to make changes and adjustments as I go.

O ok. Sounds like a good plan. Are u going to cover the wires on the motor too? Or what's the plan there?

Something like a metal cover, not plastic loom.

no the injector harness and such will just be hidden under the upper intake, and I think i'm gonna run the alternator wiring stright down off the back of the alt and mount some hangers along the oil pan rail and run it along there. The battery is also getting relocated.

So I am inspired to do this because i am secretly a honda head, and wire tucks are big time in the honda scene and there taking it to an unbelievable level and I like it haha. They hide there wires, there brake lines, fuel lines. Hondas right now have some of the cleanest engine bays I have ever seen. Anyway here are some of the more clean mustangs I've found but there just not on the same level as the hondas yet.

VERY VERY sadly no on the honda I had to sell it when I moved and didnt get to finish it, so the marquis is going under the knife now haha. I got a 97 ranger to drive so I figured it would be a good time to tear into the marquis since its not my daily anymore, and this is also an almost free modification, just very labor intesive but worth it IMO.

Anywho here are some of the hondas I was talking about. Sorry for all the pics but there are so many good ones haha.

That's actually pretty cool. They do look like they don't have any wires.
