    exhaust pipes leaking!

    both exhaust pipes from the cats back are leaking at the welds.
    shit... there is also a small hole right behind the passenger muffler. it looks like the hanger tore off a small hole on the pipe....

    i'll take some pictures...

    get them welded up if the pipes arent that old

    1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt

      pipes aren't old at all. but "all" the welds are beyond shit and awful. i was going to patch everything but it would be stupid in the long run. i plan on tearing it all down... maybe bolt-ons' instead of welds. On the bright side, i can now put stang headers =) and make sure that everything is done properly.

        From the factory, there are flanges behind the rear converters and the H or Y bolts up to that. If those are gone, probably some exhaust shop did a butcher job making up new pipes. Seen that a few times, not sure why there is such an aversion to welding new flanges on with the new pipes.
