    YEah, it would be a good security measure. I have been wanting it ever since I got my last car stolen ('93 caprice PI with cragers) but it had an airbag in the wheel. Now I don't have to worry about. I would hate to lose a car like yours that you have dropped some money into the looks and go good!

    The other difference in the 90 and up boxes is in the turn signal conections. Its not just the airbag. I looked at swapping one off and 86 onto my 90 and you cant.

    check out grants website, they make an adapter kit for pre 90 boxes. im going to get one too... because the column seems to be the same spline and everything... they just dont offer a kit for 90+ because they dont want you removing the airbag.

    I thought about getting a removeable wheel a while back...
    http://www.grantproducts.com/default.html . Of course then you would need a Grant wheel to go with it. THere are lots to choose from. The prices have kept me from doing it..... so far.
