Mustang shorties, H-pipe, flowmaster muffler dual exhaust install

Its only fun until you actually have to drive the car somewhere...

I'm working on this today some, I've got all the old junk off, heading to Lowe's for manifold bolts now

got all the pipes on, woo hoo!

Everything went pretty smoothly, just one busted fingernail.
I got the shorties, H-pipe and mids on today, Ill hopefully get the flowmasters in sometime this week at work.

I got a sound clip of it currently... this actually sounds pretty good! Should sound nice and mellow with the mufflers on.
For those that haven't head a box running with stock open cats, here's a clip of my 91 with nothing past the cats: (sounds like a damned truck)

You can see the rig I made for the dipstick. Are these hung high enough for you Mikey?? They arent but a smidgen lower than the stock replacement pipes on the 91...

I know... I didnt try to coat them or anything after I polished them, since I didnt really get them that shiny. I might give them a rub before scottfest

I remember seeing you often refer to "low hanging mustang pipes" and was wondering if I did any better than what you have seen???

No time after work to play with the sawzall, but here's a better audio clip. Sounds better with the air pipe capped off
I hope I get them done by the 4th, so I can cruise around celebrating our independence by polluting the air with noise, oil smoke and unburnt fuel that so many have died for.

Nice, sounds pretty mean. Are the mufflers welded to the tails? Doesn't look like they are, judging by the smoke from under the car and doesn't sound like it either, but that's not a bad thing it sounds great for a lopo.

Oh, I see. Yeah, those look pretty good, maybe a little higher than mine. I have the midpipes turned sort of the other way, so the mufflers tuck up really nice and high but where they join the crossover pipe still hangs fairly low. One of these days I still want to see if I can't get my X pipe tucked up a little higher.

No mufflers at all yet... Im waiting for a chance to get a half hour on the lift and access to a working sawzall to make a couple clean cuts. The tailpipes are just dangling by the old hangers, thats why they look a little off.

Then that sounds awesome for just Mustang headers and an H-pipe, figured maybe it was the camera picking up the sound a bit too much. Btw what Flowmasters are those? I've looked up flow numbers for Flowmaster mufflers and seen that they aren't much better than stock, except for the Super 44 is a bit better and the 10 series single chamber is pretty good, like a Cherry Bomb Extreme and the Outlaw is like a Dynomax Race Bullet.

They are Delta Flow 40's... I'm sure they will suit my lopo's needs.
