Thus the reason you installed a Hi-6, I presume? I did some reading on different forums a couple weeks ago or so, and was unable to really find anything bad about the Crane ignition. Lots of differing stories about MSD, though.2012 Mazda5 Touring | Finally working on the LTD again!

dont need it with duraspark or eec4........those two and gm's hei and chryslers electronic ignition (never replaced a module on one to this day on a old mopar lol) make some serious voltage
1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt

i think mallory makes better stuff. just my .02 cents. you know, mallory even makes a nice complete distributor with the ignition module for efi 302s
my friend had one on his f250 with the 351. no problems with it in 3 years.

Before you go spending money on a carb, hook up the tweecer and see what it has to tell you. You've already spent the money on the tool, may as well use it. If it needs a tune, I'd bet that you can find someone with a dyno to do the tune for a fair bit less than a carb will cost you.
