    Spark plugs on lopo's

Now this may be the wrong thread but it is 5.0 tech. Now I know that ford says it calls for an ASFW44C. I recently went to a ASWF42C, difference being its a shorter plug and its for an ho motor. Now the base of the plug sits flush in the chamber instead of sticking in an 1/8 inch or so. Now with a shorter plug I'd have figured it wouldn't want to run properly, but I noticed an increase in power for some reason and it didn't seem to hurt the economy. Now maybe it's just a fluke, or the fact that my engine has so much blowby that when I hook up the pcv system and leave the oil cap not quite tight it will spin it off, or the fact that my injector are fairly clogged require almost straight injector cleaner in the gas tank to clean them and thats messing up the spray pattern. But, I would suggest maybe swapping to the ho plugs next time. If anyone has any input on why or why not to do this please do. The upside of this at least in my car is I can pass cars in OD on the interstate without downshifting now with a 30" tire and 2.73 gears.

Might be working as an anti-fouler. If you've ever seen those, it basically moves the plug out away from the combustion chamber.
