Ok I was apparently miss informed about the xxx thing. As far as cam selection I going to go with something a little better suited for a small car.1984 CV tudor 351W, 4bbl, 5-speed best time in the 1/8 8.39 at 80 with 1.80 60ft time.

Is that all the machine work plus assembly, or the machine work plus the engine kit, and you put it together? Seems to me I paid around 600-650 for the machine work and the engine kit, and I put it together myself. That was including a bore job and a set of pistons though.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

I paid $175 to have my crank turned .010 and $250 to have the shortblock assembled here in Raleigh, NC. It's done now I just need to put it the rest of the way together. It ended up .30 over on the pistons and 10 on the crank. All I have left is to pick a cam and to figure out what push rods to use.

1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt
