No need to go mass air to do an HO swap. Honestly I find dealing with the EFI far easier than converting to a carb. I'm not particularly good with carbs, and I hate having to dicker with things to get them just so. My EFI car I just turn the key in any weather and drive down the road. As for making power, if you stick a 4bbl on the stock motor, its not going to make any more power. The EFI isn't a performance bottleneck on a lopo. As for accessibility, its personal preference. OK, changing valve covers on a carb motor is easier, but if you use good valve covers you don't have to touch it again, making it sort of a moot point. There really isn't much else you need to mess with on an EFI motor on a regular basis that the intake makes it more difficult to access. If something should require removal, its only about 15 minutes to remove the thing.

Also, its been proven that an EFI Ford will start and idle on 3 year old gas without issues. I've seen it with my own eyes, and the gas in that car *stunk*.

Meh, I'll probably stick with EFI. Or I could commit the ultimate in box heresy. I do have semi-easy access to both a 454 and a 455.

No 454. Which 455, Rocket power, Buick power or Pontiac power?

An engine swapped box is cool, even if the engine is no longer a blue oval.

LSx would be my first choice...

followed by a 500" Cadillac (TH400), or 440 Chrysler (TF727). The 455 Buick is equally as cool as the Cadillac, though. Even a mild build would make all the torque and power you need to get a box moving... in a hurry.

You wouldn't hurt my feelings with a 455 Buick powered box...

A big block chivvy is not as cool, because its a little played out. It'd still be cool though...

Ford efi will run on like half water mixed with fuel. Bitch to start and you can't let off the gas cause itll quit. Stupid gas doors don't seal well when they go under water.
