      Son of A BITCH!!!
Well today I bought one of them bolt out kits. I got one of the damn flexplate nuts out before it broke. I took it back got a new one and it will not grip the nut too well. Can you take the studs on the converter out to replace them or not? 'bout how much is a new converter?

No fixin that. You'll need a new converter, for around 100-200 depending on what you want. (Note price speculations are based on Ebay selling prices and are not 100% reliable estimates)

I think yall need to build some muscle, I didn't use a breaker bar for anything on mine.

            LOL joking

I use a Snapon ratchet that is rather long for a 3/8' drive.

Saved myself $150 today! I got the flexplate nuts off with an air chisle. So no need for a new converter! And I took off my down pipes for some $$$ and clearance. My pop helped me alot and came up with the idea to use the chisle on the nuts. Now I got to get off my starter bolts cause they are stripped too and take out the mounts and unbolt it from the motor. I sure hope that asshole did not strip the bellhousing too with an impact . :cuss: Next step is transgo HP kit and instalation in da Merc!!

Somebody must have really butchered your car. That shit isnt supposed to be run on with an impact gun to the point where you have to chisel the it apart.

Well, well if the damn crown victoria hasnt given me enough trouble, today I broke one of the bellhousing bolts(cause everything else has been loctited and impacted to shit), so now the damn broken stud is holding the transmission in place so I cannot get the sumbitch out. When it broke I was like ok it will just slide out since it isnt threaded on the trans, but I guess it is seized. It is really fusterating when you are being held back by one thing. This car has fought me since I first brought the thing home. After it is gutted I'd like to push it off a cliff.

i have experienced this problem........soak the broken stud with pb blaster, and drive a good scraper betw the engine block and the bellhousing, work it till you can get a prybar in there and bust it loose.
