K&N air filter anyone believe they are better?

    I doubt you would see any gain at the track with a K&N replacement element compared to a stock element. The mustang mags did comparisons back in the early 90s on the dyno and there was no real difference. The mustang filter element looks pretty similar if not the same as the EFI 5.0 vic filter.

      I've had good results with K&N's. It is only when you clean them that if you add too much oil you will have a problem. Out of the box I have never had a problem. Living on a gravel road sux so I want good filters, and if my maf is dirty I'll clean it no biggy.

        I don't use air filter, I just stretch a sock over the throat of the carb and call it good.

            I tried that one time on my rigged bmw. Tried to suck the sock down the carb. Had a hole in the hood and a 1 barrel from a 300 on top of the efi intake with a peice of bike tube strechted over the throttle body. what a piece of crap. But man did it run.
