Well i got myself some headers for next to nothing.. they are a hooker header. the # stamped oon the flange is 6909 so i did a search and came up with these http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku they are for a 66-77 bronco. they look just like the ones in the pic, but not coated. they are just rust colored. lol. i was wondering if anyone knows if they might fit...(83 LTD 302) i have not took the time to see yet, because i have to get a driveshaft ballanced on my van so i can drive that when i do some work to the car.

i hope they can come close. a little tweaking will not be bad i can handle that. i thought they would make a nice addition to that carb.
the problem is th esteering shaft right? i know the steering shaft is close in the 66-77 broncos too so they might clear that part anywaysLast edited by hav24wheel; 02-11-2009, 05:53 PM.sigpic

I think the steering shaft it a problem on 351 cars, 302 cars it doesn't look like it is. At least on mine. Just a matter of finding a set that is bent right.1989 Grand Marquis LS

there are quite a few threads on mid legth headers, with pics and descriptions on what needed to be modded.
the steering shaft is one issue, but the trans linkage is another.Builder/Owner of Badass Panther Wagons

with a little bending to fit the stering shaft and possibly on the pass side for the starter and whatnot, they might just fit.
only way to know is to try..or take some measurments.

Just for you guys wondering about this, i have not had a chance to try them out yet, the trans(NP435) in my van needs some new bearings in it before i can drive it when the car is gettin worked on. its 15 miles to town and it always seems like i forget something i need. but i sould be tryin them out in the next month or so.sigpic

Well, THEY FIT!!!!!! kindof.... lol... i had to cut the collectors off and reposition them. they hit the floor pan and the tans.. so i tweeked the pipes a tad. than rewelded the collectors back on... i also redid the trans shift linkage so that it does not go between the frame and trans anymore, the bracket just bolts to the tans. I'll post up some pics as soon as the camera is done charging.sigpic
