    LOPO EGR spacer mod question

    this really hasent been really explained, so here i go! does the stock LOPO spacer boar taper? is the mesurement different at each end at the hole? that is the only thing troubling me...or do i take my mustang spacer and my LOPO spacer to a shop and make em match it? or jus take my LOPO one to a shop and get em to do a straight forward boar to 58mm?

    dont need it tapered.....i have been having the lopo spacer bored out to 63mm no taper and they work great

    1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt
    2006 Lincoln Town Car Signature. Stock for now
    1989 Ford F-250 4x4 much much more to come, sefi converted so far.
    1986 Toyota pickup with LSC wheels and 225/60/16 tires.
    2008 Hyundai Elantra future Revcon toad
    1987 TriBurner and 1986 Alaska stokers keeping me warm. (and some pesky oil heat)

      so do i get it bored out to 58mm or 63mm? and im guessing 63mm is the furthest you can boar? and who can do this for me?

        63 mm and that's as far as it will go......63mm matches the ho intake opening

          and does the HO TB opening match the plenum opening?

            yes it matches pretty well......you gotta remember that the factory alignment was crap....i've looked in horror at some factory ho uppers and throttle bodies
            most machine shops will bore the spacer out for you for 20-40 dollars

                    Yes... 63mm is the max you can bore it.
                    go the the parts store and buy a EGR to plenum gasket to use as a guide.
                    I took mine to a guy that specialized in small engines, he bored mine for me.

                      Anyone with a suitably sized lathe or a milling machine can do this, so feel free to shop around.

                      And yes the factory alignment is shit. If you look inside the bore on my Mark VII, which has never been opened, you'll see off-center casting and at least 3 steps where the holes are slightly different sizes.
