Can I trust off brand ceramic coated shorty headers off of ebay? Or is 150 bucks too good to be true?

i dont see any reason they wont work.. if your concerned about the off brand you could try going to summit racing.

no-name headers may have fitment problems. I would see if you can find someone who has used them to see how well they actually work. Also, for stock heads, those are actually overkill. you'd be better with 1 1/2" primary headers, or boring old stock HO headers.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

Header quality is all over the place. I have Hedmans on my car, and getting to some of the bolts is a PITA. They were also warped, so the gaskets blew out constantly. I had them milled flat again but I could have spent 30 bucks more and had BBK headers that bolt up easily without warped flanges. Last set of BBK headers I installed I could get a socket on every bolt. The Ford Racing ones also fit really nicely, good access to the bolts and good quality as far as I can tell.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

There is a place on E-Bay called BLUE OVAL INDUSTRIES, that sells a set of shorty's for $109. I don't know if they are any good or not.89 CV LX 225/60 x 16 tires, CC819 rear springs, Front & rear sway bar, trans & PS cooler from 90 cop car. KYB shocks, F-150 on rear. Dual Exhaust w/ H pipe. I have BBK 351 swap headers, and they are very nice quality. Nice bends, nice welds, nice finish, great fit. I got mine coated, but the coating turns gray quickly anyway. I think they can be polished though; I just didn't want to see trust.
They cost me 340, I think, but the 302 ones are cheaper. Buy different gaskets and bolts, as the ones included are turds...**2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302: 5.0/ 6 spd/ 3.73s, 20K Cruiser
