Hi guys. I have been noticing a slight jerk when I'm at a steady speed. It's quite noticable on a flat road. If I give it any gas, it will go away. It's just a constant speed thing. I'm wondering if it's a clogged fuel injector or something. I'm having my mechanic perform the inspection so I can have it passed. Any ideas what might be causing the jerking?

It could be a clogged injector. Did you change the cap and rotor with the plugs and wires?1989 Grand Marquis LS

are all your mounts good? trans/engine? have you fiddled with tv pressure? was it set correctly with a gauge?
p.s. you should try slightly jerking it at varied speeds..Give a man a fish and he will be fed for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will promptly forget that he once did not know, and proceed to call anyone who asks, a n00b and flame them on the boards for being stupid.

All mounts are fine. Transmission has been rebuilt, and TV pressure was set by the shop.
It does the same thing at higher speeds too. Constant speeds mind you. It's more noticable at like around town speeds like 25.

Mine did the same thing. Never really bothered to fix it since I'm doing a motor swap anyway. But I did have an idea. When I pulled the old motor out the timing chain had a ton of play in it. I don't know if maybe the cam timing was jumping around. Just a thought.1984 CV tudor 351W, 4bbl, 5-speed best time in the 1/8 8.39 at 80 with 1.80 60ft time.
