The other day I drove down to Clinton NC and I used cruise on my 89 lincoln the whole way and it was fine. I got down there and i had to disconnect the battery to take out a PA system, and on the way home and ever since, the cruise doesn't work at all. Could it be a fuse? Thanks for the help

check the fuses first. also alot of times you need to press hard on the switches to get them to work, the controls on my towncar and my moms caravan are like that
make sure that the cruise unit is hooked up and that the cable to the throttle is still hooked up............possibly unrelated to your work with the battery.....make sure you have a good connection there
