    E7 heads and HO intake questions

    Im putting e7 heads and ho intake and throttle body on my licoln and i was wondering if i could use the HO egr plate, and also what has to be done to the throttle body to make it work. and will the exhaust manifolds bolt right up. Also any other advice on my swap.

      Welcome!

      Basically:
      -Can't use the HO EGR plate, must get your current one bored (I think it needs bored to 63mm), or find one off a 5.8L Lightning (very rare)
      -On the TB, cut the rivet that holds the lever on and reweld so the orientation is the same as your stock TB

        Why cant you use a HO egr plate??
        1988 mustang lx 5.0L, Edelbrock performer manifold, BBK 70mm TB and Egr plate, Mac equal length headers, Off road H with high flow cats welded in, 4.10 gears, mickey thompson DR's, 13.91@101

          On the HO engines the EGR, throttle body, and all the linkages are designed "backwards" as the intake faces the passenger side instead of the drivers side. I've seen it done but I believe it requires fabrication. It is easier to bore your existing one or hit the NLOC classifieds or eBay and try to get one from a Gen 1 Lightning.

            no place to mount the throttle and transmision tv linkage to the mustang egr spacer.......something could be fabbed up but it is easier to get a stock lopo egr spacer bored out to 63 mm

            1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt
