    It doesn't weigh 45 lbs.

500K6 is the belt you want. There are posts somewhere on here about pulling the pump and whatnot.

Florida has NO inspections at all. Can someone please post a pic of the location of the smog pump, i might want to yank it out if its as useless as it seems.

That's the thing under the compressor. It's got like a bunch of hoses coming off of it. A small one, and a big one that breaks off into other big ones. It's held on by a couple of bolts.

Think I mentioned earlier, no such idler pulley is available or required. A shorter belt will simply run around the A/C compressor and the tensioner, and of course the inner crank pulley, and that's it. You can even leave the smog pump in place for now if you like, and yank it off sometime when you feel like plugging up all the holes and vacuum lines it'll leave behind. The only reason to get fancy with anything would be if you came up with a way to convert the A/C belt to an automatic tensioner since the stock one is kind of a pain.

Remember to wrap a string around the remaining pulleys and measure it before buying the new belt, just to make sure you're in the ballpark.
