    Wood grain vinyl removal question

Hey guys today I started removing the wood grain vinyl on my wagon to prep it for paint. I started using a heat gun and peeling off the vinyl... But this has turned out to be a ridiculously slow process. Does anyone know of any other possible ways I could go about this? I was thinking about that shit you spray on out of a can, and it eats all the paint off right to the metal but I'm not sure if I want to do that or not. Let me know what ya'll think. Thanks.

Yellow country squire with wood panelling is the only way.

                    Dear Gurus,
I had my 89 colony park at the body shop for six damn months before they repainted it mostly, I think because heat gunning all that cracked, faded, ugly fake wood was such a PITA they did every other job first.
I would bet real money if there was any other way to get the damn stuff off, they would have.
