    throttle body problems need help

I have a mustang throttle body to go with the HO upper I picked up for the town car. I pulled off the throttle blade arm to install one from the panther to work with the town car.
Well I pulled the stock TB off of the 89 crown vic I had. But come to find out the throttle has a linkage type vs a straight one that the HO TB had.

I need help on what to do to install the HO upper/TB on my town car.

    Thanks
    Tim

i took the vic's throttle bracket(where the plate screws in) and grinded it down so the ho tb plate can fit in there.re-drilled the holes, and used 6mm bolts with lock washers on both sides. i'll post some pics of that and the custom ho spacer and bracket.

that sounds kind of rigged. I'd be more concerned with the brackets snapping if they had metal removed. Its easy enough to just swap the levers and get a nice clean job that its not really worth cobbling things together.

yeah i was worried about removing too much metal from the throttle bracket, but after 6000 miles its held very well. remember though you are only taking out about 10mm of that metal to fit the plate. taking it slow and easy is the key with the grinder.

I still ain't got no clue as to what the issue is... I cheated and used a Mark VII throttle and cruise and 3.8 T-bird TV cables, now the throttle body moves easier and smoother than it ever did with the stock setup.
