well, the shocks are under warranty so whenever they go out, I can replace em for $70, so that's a plus.
I'm just happy my steering is back in full.
it's so ridiculously effortless and soft now...it will take some time to get used to it.

nope, would just be paying for installation/labor...same with Tie rods...I like the feeling that when my outer tie rods go bad, I can get em both done for the cost of labor.

It takes 10 minutes to do the labor, the parts cost about 60% of what they orginally charged you... So, yeah... kinda being ripped.

Yeah. This is why I do all the work myself. Seriously, all the shit you just paid $700 for can be done in an afternoon at home with a pitman arm puller, a socket set, and a breaker bar.

Yikes. Too bad you didn't go for the newer HPP or P71 steering box.

Ah, but then they couldn't get him to come in and pay for even more labor when the hose blows and the tie rods pull a "Mikey's Colony Park" and let go completely in the street one day. :p

I can replace both my front shocks for $40 anytime, or $30 if I go cheap. Oh, and don't tell anyone, but Monroe Sensatracs are pretty much crap. Dunno about the heavy-duty ones, though.

Totally ... seems a little insane to spend 700 big ones and not even have an upgrade. :morons:

no one could tell me what was so great about this newer gearbox so I decided to not do it.
I'm happy with my steering anyway.

I thought the newer steering boxes all had faster gear ratios?

they do......and if you get the right steering box, it eliminates the pinky steer

Personally I like the pinky steer. That's an aspect of American luxury that is quickly becoming extinct.

I didn't like that one bit, it isn't fun when you want to go straight and the tire turns in. Thank god for strong wire!

I had the same leak. Was about an hour to put the new one in. Even though its not fully in with the pitman arm not going on right its still in though.
