    change your spark plugs

This is what happens when you have too much shit to do and you don't have records of the car going back far enough. Now I know why the '91 ran 'iffy' on and off the last 6 months. New plugs, wires, cap, and rotor went in today, and she runs like new, again. I'm ashamed that I had completely overlooked such simple maintenance items.

    Numbered in order as:
    8-7-6-5
    4-3-2-1

that'll do it. I just pulled one of mine and it looks fine. The plug wires were arcing over though so I added some di-electric grease. No more sparky sparky on the outside of the plugs. The idle stumble seems gone now too.

if they are, they're in fair shape compared to the other original 1991 plugs I saw removed today. Those were *nasty*

No. Mom bought the car in '01. Figure new plugs were installed within the first year or two.

Justin doesn't have utterly complete records on one of his vehicles?

            I don't believe it.

I felt bad before, now I'm just ... just ...

In my defense, my records for the '91 only start back in April of '06. I bought the car from my mom in 2007. I remember trying to compile info from before then, but I couldn't come up with any receipts. Since then, every detail of the '91 has been recorded. Records for the '90 and the CV start at the date of purchase, and S.U.'s date's back to Jan. of '00. Hopefully I've made it up to the '91 this summer with all the other work I've put into her.

I don't keep any kind of records on my shit. I change the oil every 6 months, plugs when the car starts missing under load, and cap rotor and wires like every 50k miles or better. So don't feel bad.

I don't keep records of my crap either. The fuel filter was changed this weekend and I honstly could not remember when I did it last. I think it was sometime before I moved in 2006.

My back cylinder ones were a little oily as well, I think it may have something to do with hose the engine sits. One thing I can say is my car is a lot happier with the Motorcraft coppers I put in place of the Bosch Platinum + 4's.
