When I put an H pipe on the vic with no mufflers, just ending under the car, she was reeeally doggy off the line(not that my shitbox is a rocket by any means) Buuut when I put the mufflers on with some back pressure, not only did it sound better but had more low end grunt. This vic has gutted cats btw.

That's odd, mine with the catless downpipes, glasspacks, and H-pipe ending under the rear seat floor pans lights up the tires off the light no problem, don't even have to do the brake-torque thing! And you know I run 235/75-15 tires with 3.08 gears. Weird thing is, she wouldn't really do it last year, with or without EGR, and all that's changed for this year is new ECT and ACT sensors and a "new" TPS (actually the original TC one, I was running a Mustang one but it failed last summer)... Beats me, but at the dream cruise when I floored it off the stop sign on Normandy she spun in 1st, then hooked, the hit 2nd and spun again, then eventually hooked again.

I've got the stock 3" single exhaust on my truck, and with a new muffler i'll have plenty of low end torque and a lot better sound. It won't be 3" single the whole way, the muffler will split it into two 2.5" tailpipes and 3.5" tips.

You can see even better results with long headers and 2.5 pipes with the Flowmaster Y-merge... and of course a 350 in front of all that :p

Oddly enough, I just went up to 3" in stack size today, from 2.5" - bitch sounds a whole lot nicer now, also cause of the way the exhaust runs there's lil to no vibration at all - and I can take the stack off and then reinstall it very easy when winter times and I throw the supercap on.
