    Car Wont Start

I'm having this problem with my car where it won't start, crank or anything else. It did it once before a few weeks ago and i jumped it and was fine. This time jump start didn't work. I have no lights or anything but the check engine light came on and has stayed on. If I disconnect and reconnect the battery the light is still on and I here clicking from the ac fuel eec relays on the drivers side. Any ideas folks? I really need my car.

My 90 is on the fender as well. Take the little wire off the solinoid and take a screwdriver and touch it too the positve wire on it. If i cranks you have a bad solenoid i think

My starter solenoid is on the fender and I changed it before I made a post. I had my battery checked today and it said "good low charge" so I had them charge it. After that they tested it and it said the same thing. The battery is only 2 years old so I'm going to take it back to walmart tomorrow and get a new one. Hopefully this will fix the problem. Also after the battery test I put the battery back in my car and the led for the alarm began to flash but nothing else worked. That may not mean anything but just thought I'd share. I'll post of tomorrow and let you know if the new battery does the trick.

Got a new battery today and still the same problem. When I turn the key the only thing that happens is the check engine light goes out. Anyone wanna come chase an electrical problem for me?

Still sounds like bad connections. Pull the ground strap on the back of the passenger side head and clean that as well as the ground from the battery to the engine and all the hot cables including the one down to the starter.

I'm gonna check the ground straps next I didn't have the proper tools with me. But I did check for voltage and I had 12 volts at the fuse for the interior lights but they don't come on so that tells me its a ground problem. The other thing when i connect the battery or the fuse for the interior lights I get a single click from what sounds like it might be the starter.

Take a jumper cable and connect it to the engine. If that solves the problem, its the batt to engine cable. Might not be a bad idea to just replace it. I think I bought mine for like $6 or something.

                          PROBLEM SOLVED

Ok after all this searching it turns out the problem was the relay i have for the driving lights in my grille. The one of the clicking sounds I was hearing was the relay for my driving lights. When I went to check the ground on the relay a spark flew and I knew I had a problem. Then I thought about it and the relay should only be energized when my park lights are on and the wire connecting it directly to the battery was not connected cause I pulled it off when I changed the battery. So I unhook the relay and my car was back to normal. Thanks for all the help guys. :slug:
