    idle got stuck

    ok i was driving home from work last night and my idle got stuck rev real high luckly for me i was pulling into a gas station so i slowed has much has i could and dropped her in neutral and shut her off and then placed in park turn it back on and hit the gas once and it unstuck think is i dont know why it happen in the frist place any help would be great p.s anyone got any pic of where the dame tv grommet cause i cant tell exactly where it is

    It's the IAC (Idle Air Control Valve). It revs pretty high, but it also doesn't pull too hard. You should be able to overcome the engine with the brakes. If it happens again shut the engine off while in gear. There is nothing wrong with doing this. DO NOT turn the key all the way off!! There is a small range where the engine will not run and you can still steer. As you are in gear and moving the engine will still be spinning, though not running, so you will still have power steering.

    Replace the IAC ASAP! It's simple, held on by two bolts on the side of the throttle body. Should be a black cylindrical piece. Parts stores will have them.
