Ok my crown vic is still stalling!!

I have gotten the injectors cleaned out, there is a new fuel pump and air filter and fuel filter in. I dont know why the car keeps stalling out! I had a remote start installed and it started happening after that. I plan on bringing it back to the place i got it installed but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what it could be.

how were the injectors cleaned? sounds like the IAC is acting up on it. i would pull the upper intake and clean the crap out of it and pull the various parts off and clean them as well. while the upper is off, i would clean out the lower intake with carb clean and a smallre type brass brush and do an oil change. after starting, it will hesitate some till it clears all the carbon out you cleaned and will make for a dark smoke show due to the carbon burning its way out of the engine.

is it idleing at the right speed?

        faulty spark plugs, gap, wires

vacuuum leak, you check for them with a stethoscope or soapy water. make the bolts on intake manifold are tight and not leaking

I'd take it and have it checked, that sounds like an install issue.

Yeah, they should correct the problem, if it was running fine before...

it is a 20 year old car... had an issue after an oil change on a car... came to find out the bad oil leak wasnt due to the oil change but due to a oil pressure sensor that went bad just above the oil filter. swore it was the oil change that was done since it never leaked that before and was coming out from what looked to be the filter.

It's CFI. There's all kinds of stuff that could throw that off. When does the stalling occur? After start up? After it's warmed up? While driving?

Thought it was an 83 Vic. I do know that '86 is multiport because Vicky is an '86. I mixed up your username with the year of the vic. Sorry. Still, when is the vic stalling?

I think you should take it back to the installers before they forget what they did to your beautiful car.

If the problem started after the remote start was installed, I'd have to think its related. Could be that they somehow screwed up the wiring that runs the IAC or one of the sensors. A code check should come up with something if thats the case, you'd get something about unable to control idle, or codes for sensors that aren't working.

My car started stalling the day my remote start was installed and it ended up being the ignition switch. The car would stall or lose power to accessories and gauages and would sometimes kick back on if I jiggled the key some. Two main peices of the ignition switch loosen up over time and the contacts get dirty and worn. When the installers tapped into the wiring, probably just below the switch, they likely made it worse but if it's original it's prob due for a change. When you get a chance, take the shroud off and see what shape its in. I got my replacement Motorcraft switch Rockauto a good price and it was very easy to change.

oh i had that problem too, though the ignition wasn't cutting out. the radio would spaz over bumps and the turn signals went intermittant, followed by the dash lights going out. This all happened over the course of about 2 days. The switch wasn't pulling apart like I usually see in pics, but internally the contacts were fried. New Motorcraft switch at the parts store fixed it up nicely.
