    Exhaust leaks

OK, BOTH of my Fords have exhaust leaks on the right side of the engine... not sure if it is a cracked manifold, maybe a leak in the air pump system or what... I have replaced the air tube across the back of the engine... since it had a small rust thu spot, but it still makes noise... Does anyone know if there is possibly a defect that causes this? It just seems strange that BOTH cars leak on the right side of the engine (passenger side) When the 84 gets out of the shop for the four barrel conversion... I am taking it to my exhaust man to pull both manifolds to sand blast them and coat them with the eastwood products manifold coating. I just don't want to do all of that, and it still be leaking somewhere else... Has anyone heard of problems with the manifolds cracking, or had the exhaust leak on the right side of their car? The exhaust system on both cars have been totally replaced from the manifolds back, and the connection between the exhaust pipe and manifold have been checked for leaks... Any ideas!!????

If the gasket under that air pipe was torn when it got replaced, that might be your problem. I'd suggest putting a piece of hose to your ear and probing around with the other end to find where exactly its coming from.
