Glad I never bought one, sounds like a power steering pump more than anything.

Maybe its a Chevy thing. Ever seen those shitty tin timing covers they use ? Possible the big aluminum cover the Ford uses muffles it. I've heard some 350 Chevys with timing gears and its annoyingly loud.

Dude, new water pump is $45 at Canadian Tire. I would have done it regardless, think of it as insurance.

I heard a Cutlass running with a gear drive. Could almost swear a pig was being burned alive.

i can get one cheaper then that at a place here in london, but i dident bother beacuse the bearings felt fine and the inside of the pump was still in good condiotion, figure why spend the money on somthing i dont need, when the car has no cooling problems, just my opinion on it,
If the pump dose go it will take nothing to take it off and put a new one on, so im not to worried bout it
